About the author : Poul Poder is Associate Professor at the department of Sociology, University of Copenhagen. He worked as deputy director at the Centre for Resolution of International Conflicts from 2013-2016. His research interests cover sociological theory, sociology of emotions, organizational change, conflict, violence, friendship, love, and human flourishing. He co-edited a recent book Resolving International Conflict: Dynamics of Escalation, Continuation and Transformation, which develops a new framework for understanding conflict as a particular form of situation, interaction, and tension.
